Description
Our hybrid chiropractic/corrective exercise clinic is looking for a Patient Care Coordinator/Receptionist to join our growing team. We have four locations around Seattle and the Eastside. Our hybrid model allows patients to receive chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy and corrective/functional exercise all in one place. We prioritize patient goals and our focus is to get them back to doing what they love whether that’s running a marathon, doing CrossFit or playing with their grandkids.Our Patient Care Coordinators are the first person that our patients see when they walk in the door and it is important that this individual is able to create a welcoming and fun environment. Please note that we take teamwork very seriously. It’s imperative that the person that joins our team is friendly, positive, organized and can multitask with a smile. This role includes a significant amount of communication. The ability to give and receive direction/feedback to and from co-workers and patients is necessary to succeed in this busy, friendly and fun clinic environment. Awareness and understanding of confidentiality and HIPAA Privacy and Security standards is also required.Ultimately, we are looking for an individual that has excellent people skills and has a genuine passion for helping others. We have a tight knit team and want to bring someone on that enjoys working in a high energy, but purposeful work environment. In addition, we want the right personality as much as we want the right skill set. However, we are NOT looking for a short-term employee and consider anything less than 2 years short-term.
Job Responsibilities
Job responsibilities include, but not limited to: Greets patients and visitors as they enter the office with a smile and positive attitude Connects with new and established patients via phone and email Answers incoming phone calls on a multi-line telephone system in a professional manner and manages clinic emails Schedules patient appointments for multiple doctors Sends monthly billing statements, tracks outstanding balances and collects patient payments Verifies insurance benefits and policies for both new and established patients Thus entails calling various insurance companies and utilizing their patient benefit and eligibility portals Creates/prepares patient profiles, documents and insurance fee schedules Schedules monthly patient re-calls to check in on patients and get them back on the schedule if necessary/applicable Manages patient files in an organized, accessible, confidential and efficient manner Maintains an organized office calendar and schedules meetings and appointments as needed Prepares and provides the Doctor’s patient files by pulling charts and gathering paperwork Contributes to the clinic website and social media (blog posts, event photos, etc.) Participates at events where the clinic has a presence (CrossFit events, community runs, etc.)Minimum Requirements
Must be 18 years of age 1 year of experience in a chiropractic/PT/medical office Experience with Chirotouch or similar EMR system preferred High school diploma or equivalent Basic proficiency with MS Office products including Word and Excel Basic understanding of health insurance Customer service experience, preferred Please respond with your resume and brief response as to why you want to work in a chiropractic office and why you think you would be a great fit.Job Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday) Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour
